Where is the Purple?

When I was a little girl I loved the color purple.  I remember when my mom said I could paint my bedroom purple and how excited I was about that….we chose the perfect color purple and that room always made me feel happy.  Now that I’m having a little girl of my own I’ve been looking around for outfits that are purple but sadly I can’t find any purple outfits here.  Where are all the cute purple girly outfits?  I am tired of seeing pink pink pink!  Don’t get me wrong, I am very excited to buy pink for my little girl..but purple is MY color, the color I wanted to share with her and I cant’ find it anywhere!  Did it suddenly become uncool for girls to wear purple?  I am hoping if I finally make it to a Carter’s store that I will find some purple goodness for my sweet peanut because if I recall correctly I’ve seen some purple stuff there in the past!

I originally had planned to do the baby’s bedroom in purple and green but mom found an awesome bedding set that was a great price and it was pink and green….of course I fell in love with it so that is the colours I’m going to use on her bedroom walls this time around…the design is still in the works.  The sweet thing is that there is a hint of purple in the set and in the lamp shade so it will still be present in the room!  My mom and I have wonderful ideas about how to decorate the baby’s room but first we’re focusing on making Jacob a wonderful new big brother rooom!  I hope he loves it…it’s not going to have purple in it.  Ha!
